Long an outspoken critic of MOC & Recertification. Dr. Greenberg has made it his mission to get MOC & Recertification removed as criteria for being a board certified dermatologist. After completing 11 years of training after college, Dr. Greenberg recently published an editorial in Practical Dermatology entitled, "When is it Enough?"
Dr. H.L. Greenberg was featured on the 12/2016 cover of and the lead article in, "The Dermatologist" where he discusses trends for 2017 and exposes MOC & Recertification as money making frauds.
On May 26, 2016, the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology refused to allow a vote on the Bylaws amendment to end MOC & Recertification signed by over 400 board certified dermatologists. The AAD vote refusal letter is on this webpage in 3 parts, with Dr. Greenberg's response below.
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.
